Baby Steps

This is a 5VDC regulator I put together to power my Beaglebone and other 5V loads. It can take input from 5VDC to 40VDC (batteries will provide 12V - 6V) and each circuit puts out 1A. I have two circuits in parallel and my 5V loads typically consume under 1A, so this gives me complete redundancy. I'm a mechanic, not an electrician, so this is a huge accomplishment for me! This thing has 10 components and 20-30 solder points, and that makes it the most complex circuit I've ever built by hand. I'm so proud.
